Nail Treatment
Nail treatment dates back thousands of years. The Chinese are famed for making manicures and false nails popular over the years. In this article, we are going to outline the different types of nail treatments that you can opt for if you are interested in keeping your nails looking neat and clean. Whether you prefer simple nails or bold and bright nails, nail treatments are definitely a good idea.
Simple Manicure
A simple or basic manicure is the cheapest and most minimal nail treatment out there. With this type of manicure you will get your cuticles oiled and treated, your nails cleaned and buffed as well as filed to your desired shape. Then from there you will probably get a short hand massage followed by a base coat, nail color of your choice and a top coat.
French Manicure
With a French manicure, expect a similar nail treatment as a basic manicure but with this type of manicure you would need a little more time to get a beautiful straight white French manicure line. Some manicurists use a stencil which creates a more bold and artificial look. Other manicurists do it freehand which creates a more natural look.
Paraffin Manicure
Paraffin manicures leave your hands feeling soft and nourished. They are typically more expensive than a basic manicure or French manicure but out of all the nail treatments, it is a very effective treatment for dry skin on the hands. Paraffin wax is melted to form a liquid, when the liquid cools down, previously moisturised hands are placed into the vessel with the liquid wax in it. Once the paraffin wax portion of treatment is complete, you will have seven layers of thick paraffin wax on your hands. After about 30 minutes, the wax is removed and then a basic manicure follows.
American Manicure
An American manicure is very similar to the French manicure however, instead of using bright white color, the manicurist will opt for a more natural white instead.
Acrylic Manicure
Acrylic manicure uses powder and liquid acrylic to cover the nails. With this type of manicure, you can opt for the false nails to increase the length of your nails or you can have the acrylic placed over your natural nails.
Gel Manicure
Gel manicure uses a special gel nail polish that dries hard to form a strong protective covering over your nails. It is usually more expensive than normal nail varnish but it lasts longer and you will never have to deal with peeling or chipping.
